Silent March in Mount Maunganui

Today in Mount Maunganui, more than 20 supporters of the Saint Nicholas Children’s Trust came together for a silent march to raise awareness of child sexual exploitation.

Wearing masks as a symbol of silence, we walked along the beach front to Beach Hut Cafe, carrying the voices of children who too often go unheard.

This was the fourth silent march organised by the Trust – and the first in the Bay of Plenty – following a series of successful events in Nelson, Wellington, and Christchurch.

We are grateful for the support of MP Jan Tinetti and MP Cameron Luxton for standing with us on this important cause.
