Evil exists because good people stay silent.

So, on behalf of the children who can’t:

we are here to speak out,

we are here to spread the word,

we are here to make a difference.

The issue

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) estimates that at least two million children and young people are exploited in the worldwide sex trade every year. This issue continues to worsen with sexual exploitation of children, both online and in person, increasing.

About Saint Nicholas Children’s Trust

The Trust, founded in June 2024, is a New Zealand-based not-for-profit organisation focused on raising awareness about child sexual exploitation, specifically sex trafficking, one child at a time.

Whilst we are New Zealand based, we will operate in other countries as our work grows. Through education, mobilisation, and awareness, our aim is to help eradicate this issue to ensure no child is sexually exploited again.

UNICEF estimates that four children every minute are exploited in the worldwide sex trade industry.

It is an illegal industry yielding USD$100 billion profit per annum, surpassing both the gun and drug trafficking industries.

The story of the star thrower

Once upon a time, there was an old man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach every morning before he began his work. Early one morning, he was walking along the shore after a big storm had passed and found the vast beach littered with starfish as far as the eye could see, stretching in both directions.

A New Zealand story

On Monday 25 November 2024, a documentary entitled ‘Unmasking the Monsters’ aired on TVNZ. New Zealand Herald reporter Jared Savage spent time with the NZ Customs Services team which investigates child sex abuse material in New Zealand.
